GENERAL TRIP INFORMATION
WHO WILL TRAVEL IN OUR GROUP? Our group will consist of 16-18 advanced/competitive boys aged 11-13 accompanied by Thom Heath at all times. Typically, 8-10 parents would be expected to travel with the group as well. Once in Brazil, we will be permanently accompanied by a member of SOCCER FUTURO who will act as our guide, translator and all-around Mr. Fix-It. As well, the group will have a 24 hour-a-day driver with our own coach. All of these transportation costs are included in the trip fee.
IS IT SAFE TO TRAVEL IN BRAZIL? Yes. Brazil is one of the safest countries in the world for both tourists and its own Citizens, Visitors from the USA, Canada and Europe always marvel at the reception and treatment they receive from the Brazilians. It is clean and as charming a country as you will ever visit.
IS THERE A LANGUAGE BARRIER? Not as much as you might think. Portuguese is the national language. At various hotels, staff and employees are bi-lingual and we will always have a bi-lingual tour Manager and translator with us on our tour. As far as the athletes are concerned, the language of sport is universal.
COMMUNICATIONS All parts of the world can be swiftly contacted by telephone, fax, email. A modern microwave communication system connects the main cities in Brazil, nearly all of which are equipped with direct dialing service for both domestic and international calls.
WHERE WILL WE STAY? The hotels in Brazil are modern and efficient. SOCCER FUTURO uses three and four star hotels. All hotels used in our program are spacious, clean, air-conditioned and have all the amenities we require. All housing costs are included in the trip fee.
WHAT ABOUT THE FOOD AND WATER? In Brazil, one eats very well. We will enjoy lots of all kinds of delicious food. All fodd costs are included in the trip fee. The water at our hotels is purified and there is ample bottle water available. Generally, water is not a problem or concern as it is on other Latin American countries.
